On Oct. 20 around 1:17 a.m., the Strathmore RCMP received a 911 complaint from a resident in Langdon reporting someone was shooting at their residence and that they had been hit by metal debris. Officer’s from Strathmore and Chestermere arrived at the location a short time later, located and arrested two intoxicated adult males and seized a firearm from a neighbouring residence. One home was damaged, and approximately five shots were believed to have been discharged. Investigator’s do not believe the firearm was discharged toward the neighbouring residence intentionally, and alcohol consumption is believed to have been a factor in the incident.
