COWBOYS FOOTBALL
The Cowboys had a tough week. On Tuesday the team travelled to Strathmore for an exhibition game. The team got off to a great start with two excellent drives and some tough defense, to take an early 14-3 lead. The team was not able to sustain its intensity and lost 32-14. Although disappointed in the loss the coaches were pleased that we were able to get valuable experience for our young players. On Friday the Cowboys hosted Springbank in a league game and the team was no match for the first place Phoenix, losing 52-0. Several new players joined the team this week and once we get some practices with everyone, we will be a much improved team. This week the Cowboys play an exhibition on Tuesday and a league game, on Saturday, at Cochrane.
