Annual Go Girl event at the Chestermere Recreation Centre

An Opportunity to Invest In Youth TODAY

CHESTERMERE – On Saturday, November 17th, the Chestermere Regional Community Association (CRCA) is hosting the Annual Go Girl event at the Chestermere Recreation Centre and if there are volunteers and business owners out there that would like to help out, continue reading.
Go Girl is a program designed to support less active teen girls, ages 11 – 17, to pursue an active living lifestyle. These days it is too easy to sit back and take it easy and not get involved with activities that require a lot of energy. Also, there are girls that may not be familiar with various activities and/or sports and this event can introduce them to many of them. It’s a perfect setting to bring together a group of girls and socialize, get some physical energy flowing and try things your body was made to do.
Up to 75 girls and numerous volunteers will be a part of Go Girl 2012 and representatives from different fitness, recreation, and sports organizations will provide the activity sessions. Activities such as outdoor pursuits like ultimate Frisbee, individual and team sports and hip Hop dance are sure to be a hit. They also offer Pilates and power yoga as well information sessions on nutrition and wellness resources. This year the CRCA is working with the Strathmore Youth Club to encourage more girls from Strathmore to attend. It promises to be a blast!
The CRCA is providing information kits for each participant that will include acknowledging the many sponsors, donors and organizations that contribute to the success of Go Girl 2012.
So corporate sponsors, this is a great opportunity to get involved and put your name out there on a t-shirt or provide door prize items such as gift certificates, coupons (ah the gift that keeps on giving), or other promotional items.
Any donation small or large is appreciated and as a business owner your contribution will have a lasting effect. And it’s not just businesses than can contribute; no sir, any donation is a welcomed gift to support this worthy event.
Let’s make Go Girl 2012 a success and help with any of the following donations:

  • Healthy lunch & snack items: water, juice, fruits, veggies, sandwich fillings etc.
  • Provide t-shirts with your logo for each participant
  • Door Prize Items (gift certificates, coupons, t‐shirts, promotional items, etc.)
  • 75 coupons or promo items for your business that can be included in the information kits provided to all the participants.
  • Cash donations
