Chestermere and Area News in Brief

Starting in February, the Chestermere Public Library will now be open on Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The Library will be hosting a K’nex Competition for kids aged eight to 12. It will take place on Thursday, Jan. 26 around 3:45 p.m. All K’nex pieces will be provided by the Library.

Chestermere Town Hall’s new operating hours are now in effect, as it will now be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. This will be for a six-month trial period, at which time Council will review and make a decision based on resident use whether to stay with new hours or return to the previous operation schedule.

There will be a mini Energizer Night on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at the Chestermere Recreation Centre from 6 to 8 p.m. Stop by to learn more about local clubs, services and organizations.

The next Chestermere Historical Foundation meeting will be held this Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Chestermere Public Library. Everyone is welcome.
