Seven Lady Lakers participated in the 19th annual Shooting Stars All-Star Showcase this past weekend. From the Varsity team Richelle Rawlyk, Rachel Cooke and Yas Saghir were selected to play in the event. Representing the JV team were grade ten students, Maddi Stoye and Kendall Armstrong, as well as 9th graders Makayla Boisjoli and Laura Costello. The girls were honoured at a banquet on Friday, at Chestermere and treated to an outstanding meal prepared by Chef Penner and the Culinary Arts students. On Saturday each girl was placed on a team and participated in a team practice, 3 on 3 tournament, skills session, rhythmic basketball session and their all-star game. All players did well and were excellent representatives of the school.
