BOYS’ SOCCER
The boys had a busy week of soccer last week. In their first match they lost 2-0 against Bert Church . Brent Wileman and Shahed Bayesteh had a strong game in the midfield. They worked hard to maintain possession and force the play into the offensive zone. The boys had an excellent match against defending champs Cochrane, winning 3-0. Coach Mitschke called it their best game of the year. Alex Krusina had a great game playing left midfield and scored the first goal. Kris Reimer added to that with 2 goals, continuing his torrid scoring pace. Rookie Akshay Aheer played a great defensive game with a number of strong challenges. Brent Wileman kept us in the match playing a great first game as goal keeper. This win vaulted the Lakers into the playoffs next week. Congratulations on a huge win.
