Santa knows
Even without looking at his list Santa knows exactly what this child would like for Christmas

CHESTERMERE – Ho Ho Ho! And what a party it was! Some folks may say Christmas without kids just isn’t quite the same and they could be quite right. The Chestermere Rec. Centre held a Community Christmas Party on December 8th and the kids and adults all looked like they had a great time. Of course Santa was there asking the kids what they wanted for Christmas and for a small fee parents got pictures of their children with the jolly man in red. There were crafts for the kids, snacks to eat and Jugo Juice to drink. Great music played on the stage and a number of young entertainers sang out some wonderful Christmas tunes. All this fun and to think that admission to the event was simply donating a non-perishable item for the Chestermere Food Bank.
On the other side of the Rec. Centre the Christmas Marketplace in the MPP room was set up for anyone to shop for those last minute unique gifts. Many vendors with their jewelry, crocheted items and much other artistry enjoyed a successful event as oodles of people were walking out with several items to put under the tree.
It takes an entire community to bring together an event like this and the CRCA would like to thank the following organizations for their contributions: ROC Generation Dancers from house on the Rock Chapel Chestermere, Chestermere Whitecappers, Chestermere Soundwaves, The Lake Studio, 1st Chestermere Girl Guides, Christmas with Dignity, St. Gabriel Parish Youth Group, YELL, Town of Chestermere Community Services, Chestermere Out Of School Care and Santa.
The Community Christmas Party was also made possible with donations from Bonaparte Pastries & Sweets, Safeway, CO-OP, M & M Meatshop, Jugo Juice, Freeman Signature, The Anchor Weekly, Newsy Neighbour, Chestermere Lions Club and The General Store.
