Langdon, Alberta is home to the youngest defense member of the Raiders, Teagan Borbandy. Teagan’s love for hockey was inspired by watching her dad play the sport. Teagan played her first three years of hockey with Indus minor hockey association. She played for AA Wheatland during her Peewee years. While in the Bantam age group first year, she played Bantam A with Okotoks and second year with the AAA Rocky Mountain Raiders. That year, the Rocky Mountain Raiders were provincial champions. Teagan played in the Alberta Winter games, 2012, with her team coming out victorious from that competition as well. Teagan’s hockey talents served her well as she also made the Alberta U16 team. Her favorite hockey memory so far is being part of a provincial winning team and Alberta Winter Games winning team. Congratulations! Outside of hockey, Teagan is very active and enjoys quading, dirt biking, snowboarding, painting, sketching and working out. Teagan looks forward to a successful year with the Raiders setting her sights on winning the Mac’s Midget and Esso cups. Teagan’s future aspirations include winning a championship, a hockey scholarship and pursuing a career possibly in sport medicine.
Another road trip has the Raiders heading to Edmonton. Next home game is Nov. 17, 11:30 a.m., at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Center in High River.
