Veteran forward Hayley Gordon is from Cochrane attending her final year of high school. Hayley has been playing hockey for 13 years. She became interested in hockey from the person she looks up to the most, her dad. Hayley would often watch her dad play and listen to him talk about hockey. Once Hayley learned how to skate, she knew she wanted to play hockey as well. In the early years, Hayley played boys hockey. She moved to girl’s hockey when she was in the Pee Wee age group. Hayley has been playing AAA hockey for 4 years. This year marks her third year with the Raiders. To date, she is one of the top scorers on the team. Keep on shooting, Hayley! Hayley’s favorite hockey memory is winning the Gold Medal at the 2010 Winter Games. Hayley also enjoys reading, water skiing, downhill skiing, baseball, jogging and camping. Following graduation, Hayley’s aspiration is to receive a scholarship to play post-secondary hockey.
Unfortunately the Raiders winning streak did not continue. The weekend games resulted in two ties against the Calgary Bruins. The Raiders record is 6 Wins, 5 Losses, 8 Ties.
