Hey, everyone it’s me again. It’s been awhile but no one had given me any news and I was very busy. So let’s do November birthdays and get caught up first, there was quite a lot. Those who celebrated were: Colten Stewart, Ian Sadler, Camilla Beaton, Zachary Manderville, Kyle Feick, Dianne Feick, Tracey McGougan, Sandy Bain, Caylen Walls, Melvin Bartelen, Cliff Hermanson, Steven Torgrimson, Noelle Giberson, Sim Nicholls, Annie Nicholls and Dave Schuratoff. Hope all you had a good day.
The Craft Sale was a success again, considering the weather a few day before. We had some new interesting vendors along with Tena Slind doing readings. She was quite busy for the day. For those who didn’t make it, you missed a great day.
Congratulations go to Kim and Graham Fitzsimmons on becoming parents for the first time to a baby boy on Nov. 23 at 10:59 pm. Damien Alexander Fitzsimmons weighed in at 5 lbs. 7 oz. and 19 ¼ in. long with lots of hair and blue eyes.
On the sadder note, Condolences go to Kevin & Sharla Desjardins & boys on the recent passing of Kevin’s Aunt Bonnie Callarec, also, to Joe & Mary Bourgouin & family as Joe was a brother to Bonnie. Kevin had his sister Tina from Quebec City visiting for a few days.
Dec. 16 is our annual kids Christmas Concert at 4:00 pm, with the pot luck supper starting at 4:30 sharp. Then we will be having a short concert, so if any kids want to perform, they can let Lori S. know. It’s always great to see the kids sing or playing the piano or whatever they do. And, then the big event of the evening is Santa coming with toys for all the Community Club members. If you would like to partake in this, you can either let Bev know right away and we can have a gift for your child at a cost of $10.00 per child or you can bring your own gift and give it to one of the members and it will be put with Santa’s gifts. This is for kids 12 years old and under. Donations for a food hamper are gratefully accepted . These will either go to a needy family in our area or to the Food Bank in Strathmore.
Speaking of Christmas , there are probably some of you still scrambling to get your gifts bought, baking , etc. with whatever you have planned for Christmas. I’m glad that I have my shopping done for some time now. I have been invited to spend the day with some friends but that all depends on my granddaughter as she is due on Boxing Day and I’ll become a Great Grandmother for the first time. Time will only tell, if and when I go to Lethbridge. So, let’s hope the weather will cooperate and be nice for any of you travelling regardless of the distance you have to go . Here’s hoping you all have a safe Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and hope things go good for everyone.
December birthdays are Sue Nicholls, Jim Kozma, Colleen McCollister, Ron Vogel, Maxine Bartelen, Brad Huntley, McKenzie Beaton, Tyler Brown and Matthew Brown with Anniversaries wishes going to Debbie and Bill Chaisson.
Thought for the day: Never bend your head, always hold it high. Look the world straight in the face.
