Jody Nakoneshny, the Owner/Esthetician of Lakeshore Esthetics and Tanning welcomes you to her dream business that she has had in the planning stages until just a few months ago. Having worked from a mini spa in her home in Chestermere for many years, she decided to make the leap and expand her operation. The new strip mall on Rainbow Falls Drive and West Creek Drive seemed to be an ideal location to set up shop. There is a seniors lodge planned for an adjacent lot and other medical and professional businesses slotted for the site which the Lakeshore Spa should complement perfectly.
Nakoneshny has been in the esthetics industry for more than a decade. She is dedicated to her clients, and truly loves what she does for her livelihood. If ever there was a business so carefully thought out this is the one. It’s quite evident that Nakoneshny focused on making her clients feel comfortable and relaxed in every room no matter what treatment was taking place. Like a fantasyland hotel, every room is different in décor and functionality.
Nakoneshny says she considers The Lakeshore Esthetics and Tanning as a boutique salon: high level services but with mid-range prices. The extensive services information pamphlet is plumb full of facial, foot and hand treatments at what appears to be very reasonable prices. The spa also offers artistic colour gloss (soak off gel), waxing services, tinting and facial threading. Andrea Daye, a registered nurse and certified Xtreme Lash stylist, is also available to extend your beauty by applying synthetic lashes one by one to your own natural lashes. For the average male reading this article you probably can’t relate to it however, if you take your gal here she’ll feel like it’s a bit of heaven on earth. The pamphlet lists other specialties for make up application for a graduation, bride to be or simply a daytime application.
Let’s talk about the tanning options. There are two level three state of the art tanning beds, a lay-down and a stand-up to cover all aspects of tanning, or if you prefer, you can opt for the sunless tanning; a beautiful bronze glow without the sun. Tan Imagine Sunless Tanning Solution is a premier sunless tan solution and skin treatment that diminishes the look of scars, cellulite and hydrates the skin while you tan.
How about this for a 45 minute treat ladies; try The Lakeshore Manicure. This is nail trimming, filing and clean up, exfoliation and hot towelling, followed by a relaxing arm and hand massage and finished with a polish of your choice or a buff for very shiny nails.
Okay ladies, they offer fifteen different waxing services, eye lash tinting and lash application but this next item certainly took me by surprise. Lakeshore Esthetics and Tanning has a machine straight from Europe called the Eurowave Pro that can tone, shape and tighten your body so you can drop up to one dress size. Simply amazing. And I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the Medical Pedi; a treatment pedicure for seniors, diabetics or others with medical concerns. In addition, and so important, Lakeshore can provide toe nail reconstruction lost due to infection or trauma.
And finally one my favourites, the massage. Mackenzie, a Registered Massage Therapist who trained at Mount Royal University, offers a relaxing massage or a deep tissue therapy massage in 30, 60 or 90 minute time increments. Mackenzie will soon be trained in Hot Stone Therapy to stave off those cold winter blues.
Thus far the male has not been mentioned but nonetheless has not been forgotten at the Lakeshore Esthetics and Tanning. Guys if you don’t think you deserve some pampering from time to time – think again.
