CHESTERMERE – Many if not all of you readers have at some time or another driven past the Chestermere Recreation Centre. Nestled between the south baseball diamond and the Rec Centre Hall is door, more than just a door, this is an entrance to an opportunity to be active in social events, crafts, sports, fitness, travel, educational programs and volunteering.
The Chestermere Whitecappers Association is for people who are 50 years of age or older. Think about this:
-
Do you hang out with the same crowd?
Are you new to Chestermere?
Do you want to meet and hang out with new people?
Do you have hobbies you would like to share?
Do you enjoy sports?
Do you need a golf partner?
Enjoy taking the occasional trip?
Do you think this is an association for older folks? Think again. Many members are older but still very active and lead full and vibrant lives. So you say you’re only 50, this doesn’t mean you had to be retired to enjoy a club like the Whitecappers. Their goal is to stimulate your minds, bodies and souls by staying active and creating lasting friendships through participation in our club and community. To become a member, well we’re only talking $25 a year.
Not convinced yet? Take the morning off and check out the following events. It just may change your mind; your active mind.
