Chestermere Lakers Bantam 1 Team – A Division Tournament Champions in Stettler, AB
It took a shootout to determine the winner in a “nail biter” final game between Stettler Storm and the Chestermere Lakers, who ended up taking top spot winning 4-3. The road to Sunday’s final game was anything but easy for this Lakers team and included a significant amount of bumps and bruises along the way. In round robin play the Lakers finished 2nd with a 2-2 tie against Lloydminster Blazers, a 4-2 loss against Stettler Storm, and a 4-1 win against Cochrane Rockies. Chestermere Lakers went into the final championship game determined and played with confidence against their host team opponent. Lakers success was achieved through a complete team effort in all 4 games played between Jan 18th – Jan 20th. Congratulations!
