It was poignant moment last week saying goodbye to someone who has been a good friend to the Chestermere Red Ribbon Competition and the Chestermere Historical Foundation. Dan Skidmore, EPCOR Site Manager here in Chestermere for about 10 years will be leaving to take on a new EPCOR manager position in Sooke and French Creek, BC and living in Victoria. The Chestermere Red Ribbon competition has received EPCOR grants for the past four years, and in 2012-2013, through Dan’s support, EPCOR provided $10 000 for the historical mural project for Town of Chestermere Lift Station #10 to be unveiled on July 27th at Water Fest 2013. (Dan is pictured with Trent de Goesbriand of SignCraft Digital who was awarded the mural contract January 2013, and Jen from the Historical Foundation and Red Ribbon Committee)
Both the Chestermere Historical Foundation and the Chestermere Country Fair Red Ribbon Committee wish Dan all the best in his new job. Dan is an avid gardener, and we hope that he enjoys the challenge of gardening on the West Coast!
Goodbye Dan and Good Luck!
