There is an App for that, and local resident; Kyle Wilson, developed it. It’s called “My Chestermere” and it is a free resource designed so you can easily stay connected with everything Chestermere. The app can be found by searching ‘My Chestermere” in the App Store.
“It is a work in progress” says Wilson, who adds that he built this app as a gift to the community that he loves so much. Wilson would like to hear from local residents and visitors to Chestermere to tell him what types of things they would like to see included.
Currently, it has a section for special deals and exclusive offers from local businesses; a handy business directory where you can read or leave reviews; maps of Chestermere; a fan wall which is designed as a forum to talk to your neighbors and ask questions; and even an area to receive home evaluations in case you’re interested in moving… but hopefully not out of Chestermere.
Wilson is also hosting a photo contest within the app; all you have to do to win some free give-a-ways is upload your photo’s taken from around Chestermere.
There is a useful links tab that will direct you to some of the popular group’s websites that service Chestermere, including the Town of Chestermere, The Public Library and The Chestermere Rec Centre.
According to Wilson, this is exactly what Chestermere needed, a free resource for residents to find the information they are looking for, as well as a complimentary service for business owners to advertise as a marketing tool.
Wilson is asking that residents and business owners alike contact him with their ideas and things they would like to see featured or added. “I want this app to be a tool to showcase the beautiful oasis town of Chestermere” says Wilson and he adds that for anyone interested in a business opportunity, this app is available for purchase.
For those who may not know what an “app” is, it is short for “application” and typically refers to software used on a smartphone or mobile device.
