Male Shot in Face – Strathmore,Alberta

On Tuesday morning, November 12th, 2013 at approximately 5:35 a.m. the Strathmore RCMP received a 911 complaint of a male that had been shot in the face. The victim advised he was in the Wrangler Park Industrial area, a rural patrol area of Strathmore Detachment.

The victim was released  by EMS and taken to hospital by the RCMP. The victim received injuries to his face but these injuries are not considered life threatening.

The suspect was located and arrested without incident by the Strathmore RCMP officers. Due to the proximity to the City of Calgary and the Town of Chestermere  officers from both these jurisdictions attended to the Wrangler Industrial Park area to assist Strathmore Detachment members on the initial call.

The aggravating situation that caused this incident to escalate to a violent confrontation was believed to be from a road rage incident that occurred in Calgary just a few minutes earlier.
