The Rockyview Raiders had a well deserved break over Christmas and started 2013 on fire, winning both their games this past weekend. The Raiders played at Winsports Canada (Canada Olympic Park) , beating the NWCAA Bruins 6-2. Grady Strath started off the scoring assisted by Carter Seminuk. Lucas Byl scored assisted by Josh Bishop and William Conley. Jordan Grover was assisted by Ross McConnell and William Conely on the third goal. Matt Thomson scored 4th goal assisted by Ross McConnell and Eric Theander. William Conley scored assisted by Grady Strath and Sebastian Kilcommons. The final goal was scored by Kyle Rosolowski assisted by Jake Anderson.
Sunday, January 6th, the Raiders hosted the IROC Chiefs from Red Deer, another exciting win!! Shane Fraser earns a “Hat Trick” scoring 3 of the 5 goals in their 5-2 win over the Chiefs. Shane was assisted by Grady Strath, Lucas Byl, Brendan Moore and Mason St. Martin. Jordan Grover scored assisted by Grady Strath and Eric Theander. The final goal was scored by Lucas Byl assisted by Matt Thomson.
Saturday, January 12th the Raiders will travel to Red Deer to play the IROC Chiefs again at 11:30, on Sunday they will play against the NWCAA Stampeders at Winsports Canada at 1:30.
