More Support For The Book Sale

CHESTERMERE – We’re a month or two away from spring and the spring clean-up many of us look forward to, but it’s never too early to start the clean-up on the inside of your house. The Chestermere Public Library is having a book sale on February 22nd, 23rd and 24th and you are invited to take your new or gently used books and donate them to the Library. Your bookshelf will love you and you can give it a new look by refilling it by buying new books at a bargain price.
The Chestermere Scotiabank has a generous community program that is supporting the Library’s efforts by matching the funds they raise from the book sale. In addition, there are 3 Scotiabank employees who are graciously donating their time to the library by volunteering during the book sale. Scotiabank is having a Customer Appreciation Day on Friday and Saturday, February 15th & 16th and will accept any type of donation at the bank location as well.
The Library is accepting any new or gently used books, CD’s, DVD’s and cash. You can drop off your donations at the Library any time they are open. If that doesn’t work for you, then you could also use the after-hours book drop off box and attach a note to them that they are for the book sale. Please note that the Library cannot accept VHS movies, magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks or badly damaged books.
The book sale hours are Friday and Saturday, February 22nd & 23rd from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Sunday February 24th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Also on Sunday, you can come in and fill a bag with your favourite books for just $5 per bag.
The Chestermere Public Library is located at 105B Marina Road, on the lower level beneath the Town Hall. Oh, and if you get the munchies while shopping for your new books, the Library will have some coffee, cookies and juice just for you!
