As the sun was rising on a beautiful October morning, a field not too far from Chestermere was filling with pumpkins as the Chestermere Lions Club was preparing to host their 8th annual Pumpkin Patch.
The weather was gorgeous and pretty soon the field was full of young and old searching for that perfect pumpkin. Some made their decisions quite quickly, while others mulled the field over making sure they had selected the one that would make a perfect jack o’ lantern.
Once that special pumpkin was found, there was still plenty to do as the kids of YELL were on hand to help out at the carving station, members of the Chestermere Public Library were there for story time and if you’d worked up an appetite, Top Dogs Calgary were there serving up hot dogs.
The Chestermere Lions Club wanted to thank Safeway, Mountain View Cemetery, The Anchor, Tim Hortons, Chestermere Pubic Library, Synergy and Top Dogs Calgary and, of course, a very special thank you to everyone that came out and supported the event.
