Big Money to Win at the Red Ribbon!

It is exciting to get so many questions about entries to the upcoming Red Ribbon Competition! Just to answer any last remaining ones, here are a few fast facts. There is more than $2500 to win in prizes this year for adults and kids. All entries have to be in between 11am and 6pm on Friday September 12th and all entries can be picked up with prizes Saturday starting 3:30pm, right after the 2pm trophy awards and following, the always exciting and successful STARS pie auction at 2:30pm. Entry forms ( don’t use the one in the booklet, download from Facebook page see below) and tags can be picked up ahead of time at the Chestermere Regional Recreation office. See example in the photo. All pillow cases entered in the Pillow Case Challenge # 648 will be donated to Inn from the Cold. Still time to pick up your quilt squares and materials (also at Rec Centre) to copy a logo or family photo for the 25th Anniversary Quilt Project # 649 that will celebrate all that is great about Chestermere Red Ribbon and the Chestermere Country Fair this past 25 years–in particular all the families who have come out to support it all these years! Don’t miss the Walk Down Memory Lane, featuring some of the antiquities owned by the Chestermere Historical Foundation, including the 1952 Ford firetruck, a display of local vegetation from the wetlands owned by Ray Blanchard ( pick up his free video!), military history items from the personal collection of Ray Hessler, and a slide show of old photos from Fairs as far back as 1990! And if those quick facts don’t answer YOUR question, you can go to the Chestermere Country Fair Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ChestermereCountryFair and PM your question, call 403 272 7170 x 223 and ask Carol, or call Jen 403 272 3764 ( text to 403 200 8046) or phone Pat 403 273-5108. Leave a message because we might be out making pies for STARS on Wednesday evening starting 6:30pm, or setting up Thursday evening starting 6:30pm or helping take in entries on Friday! Chestermere Red Ribbon and Country Fair is one of the largest provincial fairs still operating in a small town! See you there
