CBRE and Melcor hosted their annual Stampede Breakfast again this year at Chestermere Station providing residents and visitors with some good old western fun.
As you pulled into the parking lot, windows rolled down, senses instantly homed in on the mouth-watering aroma of the barbecue; hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks.
The strains of the country music being performed by Denver Daines and band entertained while attendees enjoyed M&M hamburgers and hot dogs.
Daines is 31 years old and grew up in Alberta. In addition to being a musician, Denver is also a Professional Saddle Bronc Rider. Chestermere was indeed fortunate to have such an accomplished entertainer to perform at the Stampede Barbecue.
Balloons were visible everywhere, around wrists, tied to chairs, and some were even floating aimlessly upwards and away with the light summer breeze.
Speaking of balloons, there was a tent set up for the kids where clowns twisted balloons into fun and fancy shapes. Face painting was a great hit with the young ones, transforming the facesinto butterflies, kitties, and all sorts of other critters. There should really be a booth like that set up for the adults too. After all, why should the kids get to have all the fun?
