On Saturday, March 22nd, the Chestermere Recreation Centre will be hosting the 6th Annual Mind, Body & Spirit Expo. The theme this year is Laughter is the Best Medicine so be prepared to have a good time! The goal of the event is to promote personal growth, self-awareness, and optimal health for everyone who attends. From ten in the morning until four in the afternoon, participants will have a chance to check out the Trade Show in the Main Hall and get information on products and services available in the Chestermere area that are environmentally friendly, holistic, natural, and organic. There will be Naturopathy, Iridology, Reiki, Massage Therapists, Crystals, Angel Card Readings, Essential Oils, Herbal Teas, Organic Coffee and much more!
People do not have to worry about a door fee if they’d like to come and check out the event. It’s free to come in and there will be something for all ages! The first 200 visitors to enter will be given a goody bag. If you have a coupon or something to donate to the swag bags, you can contact Vicki. This is a great opportunity for local business and services to participate and an inexpensive way to do some promotion even if they are not able to attend the expo as a vendor. People who stop by this event will also have a chance to enter a draw for a Bed and Breakfast Weekend in Rosebud compliments of Expedia Travel. Pick up your Event Passport at the Expedia Travel table as you come in and return it for your free ticket for the Weekend Package.
People can look forward to having some fun in the Positive Well Being Interactive Room located by the Main Office. There will be lots of things to do and the activities are guaranteed to keep the whole family busy. This room will offer tips for Positive Mental Health and will be expanding this year to include a focus on Healthy Eating as well. Exhibitors in the Interactive Room are not charged to participate and are in turn expected to plan out an activity in which they can interact with participants. The exhibitors can choose to plan an activity that promotes Positive Mental Health or has a Healthy Eating component to it.
Events such as this one are fuelled by the passion of volunteers and participants, and with your help the Mind, Body & Spirit Expo event this year could be the best one so far.
