Lucas Weber, a resident of Chestermere, has been recently awarded with the 2013 Landscape Apprentice Gardener Of The Year.
Weber was nominated due to his class marks in technical training at Olds College. “My employer Maury Quinney wrote a letter of recommendation for me to receive this award,” says Weber, “and I’ve been told that the letter was exceptional and very well written so it went a long way.” Quinney tutored Weber through his apprenticeship, which was for a three-year period; Weber has now been landscaping for nine seasons.
Weber is currently working for Along The Lake Landscaping, which has been serving Chestermere and areas in Calgary with landscaping and lawn maintenance since 1996. Quinney, the owner and founder of this company, has over 15 years of experience in the field.
Along The Lake Landscaping helps with services from sod installation and lawn maintenance to landscaping and stonework, including snow removal services as well.
”It is an excellent company to work for,” says Weber.
In this instance, it is shown that dedication and hard work in not only the field but technical training as well can result in recognition. By proving his talents, integrity, and dedication to both his employer and the recommendation board, Weber’s title of 2013’s Landscape Apprentice Gardener Of The Year will be solidified for years to come.
Chestermere and surrounding areas would like to congratulate Lucas Weber on this accomplishment.
