If you look up ‘haunted house’ online, Wikipedia will tell you “A haunted house is a house or other building often perceived as being inhabited by disembodied spirits of the deceased who may have been former residents or were familiar with the property.” After reading that and comparing it to the sneak peek of what the Koroll family are up to, I’d say that’s a pretty accurate description.
On a quiet street right here in Chestermere, what normally sits your run of the mill suburban home, is slowly being transformed into a house of terrors. Without giving too much away, Mike & Siobhan Koroll, are busily creating a haunted house that is sure to scare the pants off anyone willing to pay them a visit.
They have set up this Halloween attraction for several years and always enjoy getting to host this for the community while watching them get a good scare – and are always thankful for the help they get from others. From neighbours helping to paint coffins to fellow fright enthusiast, Mike Sheppard (owner of ScreamFest and Cobbs Corn Maze) providing the hearse that is adorning the Koroll’s front lawn, to the donation of tow services this year from Big Rig Towing that delivered the hearse – the Koroll say a huge thanks to all who help out.
If you’re feeling brave, you can check out the spine-chilling attraction on Thursday October 30th & Friday October 31st at 234 Westchester Blvd. A non-perishable food item for the Chestermere Regional Food Bank is appreciated as your admission.
