On the 25th Anniversary of the Chestermere Country Fair, the Red Ribbon Competition is starting a new tradition!

Thanks to Paul and Andria Faucher who have taken on coordinating this new and exciting event.  The races will take place on Saturday September 13th, from 12:30 to 1:30pm in the Curling Rink at the Chestermere Complex 201 W Chestermere Drive.

You MUST register beforehand and registration opens on Thursday July 31st 2014.  Register at the Chestermere Rec Centre office and pick up your FREE kit with wheels and axels.  Pre-registrations only.   ONLY these wheels and axles can be used ( because of the size of the track) and there are only 50 sets available so register soon!  If the event is popular the Red Ribbon will expand in 2015!

You will bring your own zucchini (Length not more than 25cn) to race location with the wheels attached, there are instructions on how to do this.  But freedom to decorate your car is only limited by your imagination!  Check out the photos of the Whale Car and Batman Car!  Thanks to the Bearspaw Fair for loan of their track.

The full regulations for the race can be found on the Country Fair Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/ChestermereCountryFair  and also on page 28 of the Country Fair Booklet, available at the CRCA office, the Public Library, the General Store and the Town Office.  For information on the race and to find out more about registration call 403 272 7170 x 223 oraccounting@chestermerecrca.com
