For the second year running, the Chestermere Red Ribbon ( sponsored by Chestermere Ag Society) will be holding a pie auction in support of STARS Air Ambulance.
But first! Someone has to make the pies–and that can be YOU. Simply register with Carol at 403 272 7170 x 223 accounting@chestermerecrca.com by Monday September 1st and then come to the pie making night on Wednesday September 10th from 6:30 to 9pm. Registration is limited, so register soon. Please bring your ingredients for the pie filling, no eggs, milk or nuts please. You will be given all the ingredients to make the pastry, so the filling is up to you, the Ag Society provides a pie plate and box for you to decorate. ( Red Ribbon volunteers freeze, then cook your pies just before the auction so they are fresh and ready to make money!) So, why a decorated box? The Auction!! Boxes are displayed so buyers know who made the pies, and type of pie. Be creative! The auction takes place on Saturday September 13th, at 2:30pm in the Curling Rink Red Ribbon Display area. Last year the Ag Society donated over $2000 to STARS. Thanks goes to Bill at Elevate Auction for being our auctioneer for a second time.
