Serenity Enders on Kolor Kode

It’s been a busy summer for the girls at Sweettalk Stables as they continue to show and garner points to qualify for the inaugral Royal West to be held at the new Agrium building in Stampede park this fall. We had a very busy 5 day weekend at Rocky Mountain Show Jumping with our girls competing in events up to 1.3m. Sweettalk has competitors from the age of 7 up to adult competing at these events.

Some of the highlights this weekend were seeing Serenity Enders riding Kolor Kode to a first place finish and seeing Hope Enders doing her first 1.30m class. As well there were many other first place finishes along with placings in every class entered. Many thanks to the coaches, Joyce and Hope Enders, and Laureen MacMillan.

It has been an exciting summer for Sweettalk as many of the girls are riding new horses and competing at levels way beyond past competitions.

On another note there are a number of girls at Sweettalk who compete regularly in Team Penning with the Central Alberta Team Penning Association. Most of these girls will be competing in the Nationals with competitors from across Canada. These will be held at the Agrium Center in Stampede Park from Oct. 10-13, again the public is welcome to attend. Note that some of the girls compete in both penning and show jumping with the same horse and are successful at both.

Sweettalk Stables is both a show jumping and western facility teaching exceptional skills as can be witnessed by the ribbons collected at the shows and the prize money collected at penning events. The girls work hard and learn the responsibility of horse ownership. The girls are encouraged to perform all the duties required with little or no help from parents or staff.

We have another show jumping event coming up Aug. 13 thru 17th. at Rocky Mountain Show Jumping and welcome all our fans to attend. There are no entrance fees and it is a fun way to spend a day.
