Think back to BEFORE Chestermere started the recycling program…..
Chestermere has well over 5000 homes whose occupants put out at least one bag of garbage per week , multiply that quantity times 52 weeks in a year.
Think of that quantity. Where is it going ?
Are we willing to give up some green space to bury our garbage ?
How big would the city dumps be allowed to grow?
68th Street dump isn’t too far away !
How soon till we, our children, or nephews and nieces are living next to an expanded dump site ?
