MP Sorenson reminds local communities of $150 million for Canada 150 celebrations

Communities in Crowfoot to Consider Applying

Camrose, AB – The Honourable Kevin Sorenson, Minister of State (Finance) and Member of Parliament (Crowfoot) is encouraging large and small communities in Crowfoot to consider applying under the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program for support of essential community and cultural infrastructure as a way to help celebrate the 150th Anniversary of Canada’s Confederation. Sorenson says, “The Canada 150 Fund will provide funding for the renovation, expansion and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure that creates community, cultural and heritage benefits for the public. Eligible recipients include municipal and regional governments.”

“This is another great opportunity for funding of projects through Economic Action Plan 2015. Canada will be celebrating our 150th Birthday in 2017 and our Conservative Government is helping communities across our nation prepare. I hope all of our local officials take a moment to visit HYPERLINK “http://www.canada150.gc.ca” www.canada150.gc.ca to see if there are any projects in our area that could qualify,” Sorenson concludes.
