For the third year the Chestermere Historical Foundation is pleased to extend sincere appreciation to Scotia Bank Chestermere for its ongoing support of the Foundation and its work, in particular, restoration of the Chestermere Cabin Owners Association 1952 Ford fire truck.
On November 1st 2014, CHF presented ‘Troop Train’ a drama written by Gail Whiteford and presented by Aspen Crossing Players. It was a pleasure to have the Scotia Bank employees, in particular Dylan and Raji, attend to personally lend a hand to the many jobs needed to pull off this successful live drama.
Along with this in kind support, Chestermere Scotia Bank Branch Manager Leighton Milliken recently presented the Chestermere Historical Foundation with a cheque for $3117.33 to continue restoration of the fire truck. This enables the Restoration Committee and Zeebs Performance to move into the final stages of finishing the truck. It is planned that the little red truck will be on display on Saturday June 6th when CHF holds its yearly M&M BBQ. February is all about ‘red’ and in keeping with that theme it is exciting that CHF can once again add the red Scotia Bank logo to the list of generous donors. To read more about this go to www.chestermerehistory.org or join CHF at their next meeting, Tuesday March 10th at the Chestermere Public Library 6:30pm.
