Truck Driven Through Anniversary Park

On February 4, 2015 at approximately 5:55 p.m. the Chestermere RCMP responded to a complaint of a truck that was driven through Anniversary Park. The truck, a black 2014 Ford F150 was operated by a 34 year old male resident from Chestermere. The truck was driven from near the intersection of Chestermere Boulevard and West Chestermere Drive southeast on to Anniversary Park through the new beach area, down the concrete steps and on to the ice covered lake where it came to a stop. It is not clear the extend of the damage to Anniversary Park.

Chestermere RCMP are still investigating the cause of this driving. Alcohol and drug use is not deemed to be a contributing factor to this incident. The driver was not injured but taken to a Calgary hospital for a medical evaluation. This medical evaluation may assist in determining the cause of this driving.
