With all conversations around the Alberta economy right now, you would think that there would be a significant slowdown in the development in Chestermere. However, the booming community of Kinniburgh is about to launch is exciting new Phase V and it’s not stopping there.
Five year Kinniburgh Developer Bill Turnbull explains that Kinniburgh is the ideal place for young families and that is one of the main reasons why development in that area is pushing forward. “In the past five years, we’ve built on 250 lots. It has been exponential growth”.
This Phase V launch is particularly exciting as it is introducing three new show homes from three new home builders to the Kinniburgh area – Jager Homes, Prominent Homes and Reid Built homes. “These are all familiar builders in Chestermere – two are coming from over in Rainbow Falls because they are out of inventory over there”, explained Turnbull, “Jager has done work for a number of years in Rainbow Falls, Reid Built Homes has been building in the Kinniburgh area before but only in duplexes. They are now moving into single family homes”.
“Chestermere is a desired place to live for a lot of reasons, none of which have changed through the down turn. One of the keys is availability of lot inventory of the home products because I went ahead and serviced this phase through a tough time based on the fact that I had some strong interest from some newer builders that needed to keep the profile in Chestermere from a marketing stand point and they took a chance on me and I took a chance on them. And it looks like it’s working out because I found a little void in the marketplace for the builders”, explained Turnbull.
I asked Mr. Turnbull what is drawing people to Chestermere and specifically the Kinniburgh area. “I think the main draw is the quite location. It’s got a brand new K-9 school. It has an expanded retail centre that already has the medical centre and coffee shop and is set for further expansion. It has fairly easy access but you’re out of the bustle and traffic that goes on over on the west side. And I’ve got the right builders out there”.
There has already been two weekends of soft openings in this new phase as two of the builders got their show homes open early. Turnbull reports that they have had a very good flow of traffic even without having any benefit of advertising, signage, etc.
The launch of the parade of show homes is set to kick off on April 2nd and 3rd from 12pm to 5pm each day. This is a great time to come check out these exciting new show homes in this fast growing area of Chestermere. “We want the community to come out and have some fun, take a look at some new properties, and know that Kinniburgh is open for business”.
There is one final phase to come which is sixty lots which should commence in 2017. You can learn more about this exciting new launch by visiting www.kinniburgh-chestermere.com/phase5
