With almost 60 community groups represented, organizers said that Energizer night Sept. 7 was a complete success.
“I love that the recreation centre can be that hub,” said Chestermere Regional Community Association General Manager Jody Nouwen.
She said that she and other staff member noticed that people were socializing and having a lot of fun as they signed up for programs.
Doors opened for Energizer night at 6 p.m. however, people starting lining up at 5:30 p.m.
“We sold out several of our swim programs within the first hour,” said Nouwen.
The swim programs are new this year. They are being offered in partnership with the Best Western Hotel.
Swim programs are limited to seniors and preschool. Registration is ongoing online at www.chestermerecrca.com.
Energizer night has grown to the point that this year it was held in both the main hall and curling rink.
Programs were split into a pre-school room in the curling rink that included a play area in the middle. The remaining booths were hosted in the main hall.
