Whether you consider yourself an amateur photographer or whether you just take the odd snapshot, your photo could be a winner at the Chestermere Country Fair – Red Ribbon Competition! It is easy to enter and you can be proud if your photo is chosen to adorn a 1st, 2nd or 3rd place ribbon at this year’s Country Fair! All photos must be matted or mounted on stiff cardboard, no photo dimension greater than 13 inches (33 cm) excluding mat or cardboard, NO GLASS. Photos (including modifications of that photo) may be entered in only ONE Class (e.g. same photo may not be in b/w and color categories). Photos must not have been entered in previous Chestermere Fairs. The exhibitor with the most points in the Photography Section receives a personal trophy to take home, their name is engraved on the display trophy and they receive a free membership to the Chestermere Agricultural Society. This year the judging of the photographs will be done by; Kerianne Sproule, Chestermere native, who works for the Calgary Herald on the “People Project” with Leah Hennel http://calgaryherald.com/tag/the-people-project . Owen Melenka, photographer for the Glenbow Museum Archives. And photographer Pinder Sandhu, returning for her third year of judging.
