On Tuesday May 31st, the Waiting Room Café celebrated their two-year anniversary since opening their doors in Kinniburgh. They decided that instead of just celebrating, that this was their opportunity to give back.
All revenue made on May 31st was donated to the Red Cross via Malkeet Aheer, who was one of the organizers of the recent Fundraiser BBQ at the Chestermere Recreation Centre for those impacted by the fires in Fort McMurray.
The Waiting Room Café owners, Al and Parvin Rosul, didn’t want to disclose how much they raised, but said, “We had a goal of an amount and we passed that goal and over by quite a lot. The funds were that same day given to Red Cross and presented to Malkeet Aheer “.
Over 350 people came over to show their support on this anniversary and Peter Tindal delivered a special certificate from Chestermere Rocky View MLA, Leela Aheer. The certificate congratulates the Rosul’s on the anniversary and on having strong community spirit.
Congratulations Waiting Room Café.
