Make a Pie – Help STARS!

Once again, for the sixth annual Red Ribbon Pie Auction committee is gearing up for a great fundraiser for STARS on Saturday September 10th 2pm in the CRCA Curling Rink. Like to help but never made a pie? No worries, on Wednesday September 7th volunteers from the Red Ribbon will provide pastry ingredients and instruction and help you make a delicious pie with your filling of choice ( sorry no eggs, cream or nuts). If you are a pro, come out and lend a hand! The pies will be frozen and auctioned on Saturday to the highest bidder. The Red Ribbon Committee has nearly topped $10, 000 in donations and this will be the year to go over the top! If you don’t want to bake, then come, bring a friend or two to bid on Saturday. In fact, THAT may be the most important part of this, supporting the great work done by this organization that saves lives every day. Families, friends, groups, organizations–all are welcome to sign up to make a pie. A few kitchen tools are needed, and your filling and you are off and running. Register yourself or a group NOW, to save yourself a space at the pie making. (only pies made on September 7th in the approved kitchen will be accepted for auction).
