My family and I congratulate the Chestermere Food Bank on it’s 10th Anniversary of great service to our city and the surrounding area. Congratulations as well, to the Anchor for a well written article in last week’s paper on the history of the food bank.
I do, however, wish to point out a glaring omission when recognizing supporters of the food bank. George Trutina of Truman Homes, is the owner of the Chestermere Business Park where the Food Bank is located. He donated the space and $10,000 to assist in lease-hold improvements.
The food bank pays operating costs but the space is rent free. I wanted to make sure that his significant contribution was noted.
