The City of Chestermere has officially become a positive ticketing stop (PoTi-stop) for youth! Last July, youth have had the nerve-wracking experience of being approached or even pulled over by an RCMP officer with a ticket. To their shock and delight, they had actually been caught for their positive actions and behaviour in the community. Youth recipients have reported:
“I find this to be a great way to bring our youth together but also to make them better people! With myself having a strong interest in police work this helps me with grow as a person but also have something to show for the hard work I put into things.”

Due to the well-received responses and impact of the program, Synergy has once again partnered up with Stepping Stones to Mental Health, Alberta Health Services and the RCMP for another exciting year of positive ticketing! The awesome rewards this year are locally sponsored by the businesses in our community in the form of donations, prizes, gift cards and redeemable coupons. Our proud partners include: No Frills, Safeway, Edo Japan, Trend Fashions, Purelight Wellness Centre, Waiting Room Cafe, LV Nails & Spa, The Lakeshore Laser, Esthetics & Tanning, Subway, Van Son Vietnamese Cuisine, Joey’s Urban, CTC Martials Arts & Fitness Center, Shoppers Drug Mart, Rainbow Falls Dental and Starbucks!
On Saturday, August 27, during the Life’s Too Shorts Event in the John Peake Park, we will be holding another major prize draw. Past prizes included X-fest tickets, Sony Wireless Headphones, Wireless Bluetooth Speakers and gift baskets from Starbucks and the Waiting Room Café!
