Strathmore RCMP and Emergency Services responded to a two-vehicle collision that sent one person to hospital on Highway 1 at Range Road 274 May 14.
The collision between a motorcycle and an SUV occurred at about 10:40 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 1.
After the collision, the driver of the SUV fled the scene on foot. RCMP continue to search for the driver.
The male driver of the motorcycle was transported by STARS air ambulance to hospital in serious condition.
An RCMP collision analyst is assisting with the investigation. Traffic was rerouted from Highway 1 during the investigation of the scene.
Police reported that their preliminary findings suggest that both vehicles were travelling eastbound when the collision occurred.
