LAKERS BOYS SOCCER

With no substitutes, the boys played with determination and refused to give up on the game despite going down 2-0. Our boys pushed right up to the final whistle. In their second game the Lakers managed a 5-5 draw last night in an exhibition against Bow Valley High School. Jugraj Gill had 4 of the goals with Fahad Khan getting the other, to continue the trend of improving with each game. The boys were down 5-2 at one point but managed to fight their way back into the game in true Lakers fashion.

COWBOYS FOOTBALL
Congratulations to Alen Cekic and Reid McRuvie on making the Calgary Colts Junior football team. Both young men are deserving of getting a chance to play in a very competitive Prairie Football Conference. Receiver Alen, a 3 time Rocky View all-star, Rocky View Rookie of the Year, and Cowboys Offensive and Team MVP, will be reunited with his brother Deni on the Colts roster. Reid, a 2 time Cowboys lineman of the year, and a league all-star in his senior year, will join Deni on the defensive line . Good luck to both Cowboys in your post secondary careers. We know you will make the Cowboys proud.
