RCMP continue to conduct patrols in the community to check for unlocked vehicles and secure them.
The education campaign see’s police dropping an information pamphlet inside the vehicle before locking the doors and continuing on their patrol.
“It is a priority for us this year we will see more of them,” said Wielgosz.
He said that so far, he has had nothing but positive feedback from the community about the program that looks to curb both theft of vehicles and from vehicles in Chestermere.
