Grades one to five participated in a variety of activities during Pink Shirt Day to spread anti bullying awareness at East Lake School. The morning of Feb. 27 began with an assembly regarding the history of Pink Shirt Day and what kindness looks like. Activities that students participated in included sticks and Stones, where they painted nice messages onto rocks or stones, paper dolls that were connected to show friendship and connection, skipping and hula hooping, and a mindfulness room where students made friendship bracelets.
