Strathmore RCMP have arrested two youth in connection to with the sale of stolen skis on Kijiji.
RCMP began their investigation into the sale of potentially stolen skis online on Jan. 20.
In the course of the investigation police were able to identify and arrest the two youths on Jan. 21.
RCMP said that the youths have been, “charged in relation to being in possession of the stolen skis.”
Police were able to recover three snowboards and 10 pairs of skis believed to be worth $17,000. The skis and snowboards are believed to have been stolen from the Fernie ski resort in Fernie, B.C. on Jan. 19.
Strathmore RCMP are working to identify and return the stolen property to their owners.

Stolen Pickup truck found in Rainbow Falls
While on a routine patrol of Rainbow Falls Jan. 17, a Chestermere RCMP member found a pickup truck that was reported stolen out of Field, B.C.
The brown 2000 Ford F250 pickup truck was also found to contain numerous stolen commercial equipment.
Police recovered stolen commercial accessories such as street lamps, substation batteries, and equipment batteries.
Through their investigation, police have identified the owners of the stolen property who have been contacted by police and have collected their property.
The investigation into the stolen pickup and commercial equipment is ongoing.
