Strathmore RCMP execute search warrant for cannabis production

Over 500 illicit cannabis plants were seized 

On June 14, Strathmore RCMP executed a search warrant at a rural property south of Langdon, Alta., in relation to an ongoing cannabis production investigation.

Five hundred and forty-four illicit cannabis plants were seized as a result of the search. The plants are roughly valued at $544,000.

Doug Ho (49), Sau Va Ho (82), and Xian Nong (38) are all from Calgary and have each been charged with Possession for the Purpose of Distribution, Cultivation of illicit cannabis in a place that is not their dwelling house, Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence (x4 for each accused), and Fraud over $5,000. Ho and Va Ho are additionally charged with writing a false statement.

The Strathmore RCMP are asking the public’s assistance for any information in relation to any drug or other criminal activity.
