Semi-trailer fire closes portion of Highway 91 temporarily

Crews are continuing to clean up debris.

Strathmore RCMP responded to a semi-trailer on fire outside the Chestermere High School early Thursday morning.

At 3:45 a.m., RCMP received a report of a semi-trailer that was on fire on Highway 91, outside of the Chestermere High School.

Emergency crews extinguished the fire. However, a portion of the highway will remain closed while the crew cleans up debris.

There was no indication that classes at the high school will be disrupted while crews continue to clean up.
