Synergy offers leadership and wellness education for individuals and local non-profits. Through strengths building programs, community-based activities, and professional facilitation services, they provide opportunities to develop healthy relationships and cultivate the community’s potential. They host the Centre for Community Leadership, a collaborative gathering space for non-profits to meet, deliver programs and services and access resource tools, relevant information, and training opportunities. Synergy promotes the volunteer sector as a valuable resource for enhancing the community’s quality of life. Since January 1st, 2018, Synergy has held charitable status.
“Fundraising for non-profit and charitable organizations has become increasingly challenging over the past two years so when the organizers of Hockey Marathon for the Kids, otherwise known as the World’s Longest Hockey Game, offered us the opportunity to conduct a Silent Auction in conjunction with their game, we gratefully accepted,” Synergy Executive Director Patty Sproule said.
Over 50 individuals and businesses have generously donated auction items from Cosmetic Baskets to a Home Air Conditioning Unit. They have some really unique items such as autographed hockey jerseys and sticks, original paintings and hand-crafted pottery.
There is an amazing gaming computer, a collection of board games, wine and liquor collections, designer sunglasses, a motorcycle helmet, goalie equipment and gift cards/certificates for everything you could imagine.
Bidding is online only at https://www.yoursynergy.ca/silentauction but if you don’t have a smart phone or a computer, don’t let that stop you!
All the items can be seen, every day from March 31st to April 10th between noon and 9:00 p.m. at the Chestermere Recreation Centre and Volunteers are happy to help you place your bid through a device that will be available there.
All the funds raised through this Silent Auction will be matched up to 50 per cent by Shaw Birdies for Kids and will go toward supporting and enhancing Synergy’s many Youth Programs – https://www.yoursynergy.ca/programs.
