April 23, 1956 – April 12, 2008
Debra Ann Berdusco (nee Grant), beloved wife of Mario Berdusco of Chestermere, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2008.
Debra was born in Calgary, Alberta and resided there until she was 4 years old. In 1960 the family moved to Blairmore for one year then returned to Calgary. In 1969 they moved to acreage near Chestermere. Deb fell in love with the Chestermere area where she completed school. She then attended the U of C, graduating from the Faculty of Education.
Debra was very proud of her whole family especially her husband Mario (twenty-eight years) and children Marci, Russell and Ryan. The lives and well being of her children were always the highest priority of her life. Debbie will be dearly missed by her mother Winnie, father Doug, brothers Brian (Jen), Kevin (Alana) and her very special nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Debra was a beautiful and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin. As well, she was a wonderful friend and an amazing teacher. Her love was so deep and meaningful for those who were lucky enough to be loved by her. Deb’s generosity was incredible, she could not attend an event without bringing her signature prepared food and gifts. Christmas, birthdays and holidays were always special with Deb. She will be remembered for her passion and dedication to her students and teaching. She was an amazing and determined woman, proven through her seventeen year battle with breast cancer. Her strength, will, and faith in the Catholic Church allowed her to live many of these years happy and healthy. Debra peacefully passed away on April 12th in the presence of her loving family. She will always be remembered for touching the lives of everyone she met in a special way. Deb’s spirit will live on through the many people she touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Friday, April 18, 2008 at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at at St. Gabriel the Archangel (197 Invermere Dr., Chestermere ) on Satuday, April 19 at 11:00 am.
